Syria handed the UN a death toll of foreign terrorists
Syria's Permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar Jaafari, handed the UN Security Council a list of 143 names of foreigners killed in Syria who were "involved in terrorist activities".
Among the militants liquidated are the citizens of more than 20 countries, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Chad. The list also includes the names of the Chechens and Palestinians, who fought on the side of the opposition.
B.Jaafari sought to introduce the letter and the list enclosed with it for consideration of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly "as an official document" under the agenda item "Measures to Combat International Terrorism".
