Vice Prime Minister of Georgia: Saakashvili not to escape from punishment
Georgia's Defence Minister and Vice Prime Minister, Irakli Alasania in an interview with Asaval Dasavali said the stereotyped view of the incumbent President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili's immunity is erroneous.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, any perpetrator of crime should bear responsibility. "If someone commits a crime, he will not have immunity. No one beginning with the President and ending with any officer," said Alasania.
Recall that earlier there was information in the media that the Georgian leader has a certain guarantee of immunity from the U.S., which, in turn, could allow Saakashvili to avoid prosecution if found guilty on at least one of the recent scandalous events in Georgia.
