Coalition Forces Strike Ahrar al-Sham And Jabhat an-Nusra In Syria
According to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights US-led coalition forces struck the positions of Jabhat an-Nusra and for the first time targeted Ahrar al-Sham militants.
The strikes targeted militants' positions near the Syrian-Turkish border and resulted in killing two people. No information on militants' casualties was provided.
Ahrar al-Sham is thought to be ideologically close to al-Qaeda but joined other Islamist groups in forming the Islamic Front - one of the biggest rebel alliances fighting both government forces and the Islamic State jihadist group.
