Egyptian Militants Claim Responsibility For Killing American Oil Worker
Egyptian militant organisation Ansar Beit al-Maqdis associated with the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the killing of an American oil worker.
The group published photos of his passport and identification cards on its Twitter account wihout giving any details of the killing. The shown documents belong to a 58-year-old American from Texas working for a joint U.S.-Egypt venture Apache and Qarun Petroleum.
The U.S. embassy in Egypt declined to comment on the group's claim.
