We against the West

16.12.2014 18:47

Western pressure on Russia, designed to change its political course, or to even "get rid" of President Putin, is based on a double calculation - to sow discord within the government and panic within the society, which is planned to grow into a protest.

Financial and economic turbulence creates a favorable atmosphere for the transfer of concerns to anxiety, of anxiety into fear, fear into panic. To survive and thrive Moscow needs to stop the warming of hatred from without.

According to the western esteem, "many" were unhappy with Putin's tough policies of protecting national interests, which led to a confrontation with the West, and after the imposition of sanctions and were due to present an ultimatum to the Kremlin (at least, that was the main argument in favor of the introduction of personal sanctions against senior Russian officials and a number of magnates, famous for friendship with Vladimir Putin).

But it soon became clear that there are no symptoms of neither twitching, nor any serious disagreement on the conflict with the West among the Russian elite. And even the existing differences are forgotten, thus not indicating that there only common minded people in the Government (this can only be said about the Security Council), but showing a high degree of control and confidence in Putin, even by those who previously disagreed with him.

Russian elite is set for a long, serious confrontation with the United States, realizing that there is simply no alternative to it, and that there is no way but to answer the upcoming challenges. And representatives of the "sixth" column (westerners) in the Russian elite are not capable of any conspiracy for the simple reason that they are deprived of the possibility to occupy commanding heights.

Hence, in western opinion, Putin needs to be pressed using the "perturbed" people, same - lame revolution scenario. But how can one do this in a country where the president's rating is between 80 and 90 percent, and the need to counter foreign interference and manipulation is recognized as one of the most important tasks not only by the ruling circles, but also by the majority people?

Inject anxiety and nervousness - make sure that society begins to sow panic anger themselves, eventually reaching up to ecstatic hatred of authority. No direct participation in the United States needed and the necessary set of players and circumstances in post-Soviet Russia are "their for the taking".

The main slogan of today's Russian hedonistic pseudo-elite is "All is lost" ? and it begins to be broadcast at all segments of society, and it does not matter what is actually "lost", everyone is given a selection of real and mythical "losses": parmesan cheese, shop tours to Europe, "Novorossia" or the reason to live.

If the hysterical minority manages to infect a significant part of the public with their panic, everything will go just as was in 1916-1917 and 1986-1991, respectively. Naturally, such a strategy can work only if the highest authority has no serious opposition (as it was during the First World War, when all thoughts of the Emperor were related to his activities as commander in chief), or even their own actions further undermine the vertical of power, and the country (this is the experience of Gorbachev "perestroika").

Only then trust, that morally and mentally stable majority feeds to authority, begins to get undermined, thinner, and at some point, society commends the governor (and in general looks at everything that happens) through the eyes of the very minority, which yesterday seemed to him much more alien than a distant, but its power.

Now the vast majority of people understand what Putin's leadership. Understands that in the ongoing war need internal consolidation, combining for a common goal, a common cause (and it is the most ambitious - the revival of Russian self-sufficient). Even understand why it was Putin does not want to advance to prepare the people for economic and social costs, because what really counts to minimize them, and not because of the fear of the collapse of the rankings.

Another way to prevent a sharp rise in popular discontent could be accelerated cleaning elite, but even if Putin decides to start her in a rigid form, for the year personnel revolution is not up to snuff. Namely the next six months or a year will be the most difficult time, because the overall anxiety because of the financial and economic uncertainty is the ideal atmosphere for sowers of fear and panic.

Sowing panic, the West will fertilize it every day in anticipation that it shoots hatred. They don't trust in the wisdom and power of the Russian people, the will and the experience of Putin and people's love for Russia. During the storm, elite will need to prepare for the tests, and remind itself that they will survive only by becoming Russia's "state servicemen".
