Kiev Further Equips Army Despite Talks
The Ukrainian president says Kiev aims to further equip its army in a bid to clinch a decisive victory against pro-Russia forces despite the ongoing peace talks in German capital, Berlin.
After he delivered armored personnel carriers, howitzers and fighter jets to the Ukrainian army in the western city of Zhytomyr on Monday, Petro Poroshenko said "I am convinced that 2015 will be the year of our victory?. In order to achieve that, we need a strong, patriotic and well-equipped army."
The provocative arms delivery to the Ukrainian military comes despite the peace talks among the representatives of Kiev, Russia, France and Germany, which started in Berlin on Monday.
