Putin, CIS Special Services to Discuss Countering Syria-Trained Terrorists

According to the Kremlin press service, Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to hold a meeting with representatives of CIS countries' security agencies on Wednesday to discuss issues of countering terrorist groups trained in Syria and Afghanistan.

 "Putin will host the heads of delegations of security agencies taking part in the 39th meeting of the Council of Heads of National Security Enforcement Agencies and Special Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Moscow," the press service said in a statement.

During the meeting, the parties will discuss "key aspects of anti-terrorism activity on the territory of CIS countries, and matters of combating terrorist organizations and groups that have received training in Syria and Afghanistan."
