Bordyuzha: Lack of Comprehensive Security System

12.12.2008 14:59

Nikolay Bordyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, claimed that the conflict in South Ossetia confirmed that the world is lacking the comprehensive security system.

"The lack of comprehensive security system is confirmed with the conflict in South Ossetia. All available international structures failed to prevent escalation of this conflict despite they have the respective information”, said the CSTO Secretary General.

Bordyuzha also pointed out that information on actual preparations to the use of force “was communicated to a limited number of states”, and there were “deliberate efforts to mislead the world community” within the frame of that conflict.
